Quest to Paint God  2004

If a word forms this way
  -pluck-
Oranges won’t grow from it

God says ‘the truth lies in
the contradiction’
I’ve decided that Is Correct

In my studio I grow paintings
hungrily
from Contradictions
Balance in Chaos

I like to think I am
painting God
I have been battling to remove
myself
in my attempt to paint God

It seems
-pluck-
That oranges won’t grow from it

Perhaps more form is necessary
I remain momentarily

Unconvinced
